It's all part of the feature called "Continuity" and these can be valuable in your day to day. Let's start with all the Continuity features and later, we will look at each one close up.

You'll need an iPhone or Pad and a Mac to use Continuity.

With Apple's Continuity features, users can experience a seamless workflow between their iPhone and iMac, making it easier than ever to stay focused and productive. In this blog post, we will explore how to leverage Continuity between an iPhone and iMac running macOS Monterey and above, unlocking a world of convenience and efficiency.

Here are the main features:

Continuity is a set of features that allow you to seamlessly use your iPhone and iMac together. With Continuity, you can do things like:

Handoff: Start working on a document on your iPhone, then pick up where you left off on your iMac.

AirDrop: Wirelessly send files, photos, videos, and more between Devices. Even one’s that are not yours.

Continuity Camera: Use your iPhone's camera as a webcam for your iMac. Snapshots too!

Instant Hotspot: Use your iPhone's cellular data connection to connect to the internet on your iMac.

Sidecar: Use your iPad as a second display for your iMac.

Universal Control: Use the Mac’s keyboard, trackpad and mouse to control your iPad in addition to your Mac.

The features run much deeper than these. And there are some tricks to make things work where they normally would not.
